Hanoi was chosen to host the world's top 3-cushion carom tournament, with huge prize money.

Korea is a world billiards powerhouse with many top players, especially 3-cushion carom, and is also where billiards tournaments receive the most attention from fans. Therefore, the information that Hanoi was chosen by PBA as the first destination to organize PBA LPBA SY Bazzar 2024 has proven the position of Vietnamese billiards in the international arena. Tournaments in the PBA Tour system are also rated among the top in the world in terms of professional quality, scale, prize value as well as organization.

According to the announcement from the Organizing Committee, the PBA LPBA SY Bazzar 2024 is expected to be held from August 21 to August 26, 2024 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Hanoi . This is also the first time that Vietnam has been chosen to host this tournament. The PBA Tour is a global billiards tournament with many different venues around the world, of which Vietnam is the first host in 2024.

Nearly 200 players participated in PBA LPBA SY Bazzar 2024, including top players from Korea, Türkiye, Spain and Vietnam (such as players Nguyen Quoc Nguyen, Ma Minh Cam, ...). The total prize value for the men's tournament is more than 4.7 billion VND (the highest prize for the champion is nearly 2 billion VND) and the total prize value for the women's tournament is 1.9 billion VND (of which the champion is awarded about 750 million VND).

Sharing the reason for choosing Hanoi as the first destination of PBA LPBA SY Bazzar, PBA Vice President - Mr. Lee Hee Jin, commented that Vietnam is an emerging powerhouse of 3-cushion carom and is probably second only to Korea. Vietnam also has many world-class players and that is the reason why PBA chose Vietnam as the starting point for PBA's global tour.

PBA also hopes that through this tournament, more Vietnamese fans will know and be interested in billiards in particular and 3-cushion carom in general. PBA representatives also shared that they are considering plans to organize tournaments in both Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang .
