Hai Phong identifies 31 key projects and works in 2026

31 key projects and works to be implemented in 2026 will create clear changes in infrastructure, development space, and improve people's quality of life.

The project to build a bridge over the Thai Binh River and the access road on the Hai Duong City Ring Road 1 section from Provincial Road 391 to Provincial Road 390C is a project to transfer investment to 2026.

According to the City People's Committee, in 2026, the city will identify 31 key projects and works to focus on implementation.

The projects to be inaugurated include: Investment project to construct, renovate and embellish the K15 wharf relic complex, Do Son ward (using city budget) and Aeon Hai Duong Trade Center project (using non-budgetary capital).

Regarding the construction, the project is expected to start construction in 2026 using the city's budget capital, including: Renovating Ha Ly canal from Thuong Ly bridge to Tam Bac bridge (Hong Bang ward); investing in the construction of Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway (CT.08) through Hai Phong city and 9 km in Hung Yen province - building Van Uc 2 bridge; investing in the construction of Ninh Binh - Hai Phong expressway (CT.08) through Hai Phong city and 9 km in Hung Yen province - Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway section with coastal intersection.

Investing in the construction of a Sports Training, Coaching and Competition Center in the Cultural and Sports Complex; renovating, repairing and upgrading old buildings and adding a fire prevention and fighting system to Hai Duong General Hospital; investing in the construction of the western intersection of the city and the extended Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue connecting to Gia Binh Airport; renovating and upgrading the Sat River embankment from Cat Bridge to Cay Bridge; developing Hai Phong City to adapt to climate change.

Van Uc 2 Bridge is expected to start construction in 2026.

Along with that is an investment project under the public-private partnership method, which is the East-West connection route of Hai Phong city (connecting National Highway 10 with Ring Road 1 of the old Hai Duong city).

7 projects using non-budgetary capital are expected to start construction in 2026, including: Construction of berths 7 and 8, Lach Huyen port area; construction of berths 9, 10, 11 and 12, Lach Huyen port area; GE Vernova Hai Phong Co., Ltd. - GRID branch; construction of commercial and mixed-use urban areas in the center of Hai Phong city (Porcelain factory area); Lien Hong new urban area and golf course; Seraphin Hai Duong waste treatment plant project; logistics service center, petroleum and cargo port, petroleum depot, Minh Hoa commercial service area.

Regarding the projects under construction, transitioning from 2025 to 2026, there are 6 projects using budget capital and 7 projects using non-budget capital.
