Deadline for submitting responses to anti-dumping investigation questions on galvanized steel for foreign exporters

Issuing the official investigation questionnaire for the anti-dumping investigation of galvanized steel. The Ministry of Industry and Trade extended the deadline for submitting the response to the questionnaire for the anti-dumping investigation of galvanized steel.

On July 1, 2024, the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Notice No. 87⁄TB-PVTM on the issuance of the official investigation questionnaire for foreign manufacturers and exporters in the case of investigation into the application of anti-dumping measures on some galvanized steel products originating from China and Korea (AD19).

The Trade Defense Department said that during the preparation of the response to the Investigation Questionnaire, foreign manufacturers/exporters who are related parties to the case sent official dispatches to the Trade Defense Department to request an extension of the deadline for responding to the Questionnaire on the grounds that the amount of data to be provided was very large, so the companies needed more time to collect and prepare complete and accurate related data.

In order to facilitate enterprises to participate in answering the questionnaire, ensuring objectivity and fairness among related parties in order to provide complete and accurate information for the assessment of the case; Pursuant to Clause 2, Article 35 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management on trade defense measures, the Investigation Agency has Notice No. 97/TB-PVTM dated July 31, 2024 on extending the deadline for answering the investigation questionnaire for foreign manufacturers/exporters in the AD19 case by 30 days, that is, until 5:00 p.m. on September 6, 2024 ( Hanoi time).

After the above deadline, the Investigation Authority may use available data in accordance with the provisions of the law on trade defense. For other contents, companies are requested to follow the instructions in the official investigation questionnaire issued under Notice No. 87/TB-PVTM dated July 1, 2024 of the Investigation Authority.
