Coach Park Hang-seo appeared, 'newly emerged giant' Bac Ninh Club won the match

On the opening day of the 2024 Spring Four-Team Tournament, Bac Ninh FC faced PVF Youth Team at Tu Son Stadium (Bac Ninh) on the afternoon of March 10th. Notably, Coach Park Hang-seo also took the time to attend this match. Prior to that, on March 9th, the former Vietnam national team coach unexpectedly appeared at Ham Rong to meet with Chairman Duc and watch the V-League Round 13 match between HAGL and Ho Chi Minh City FC at Pleiku Stadium.

Coach Park Hang-seo was in attendance at Tu Son Stadium on the afternoon of March 10th.

On the day coach Park Hang-seo was present in the stands at Tu Son Stadium, Bac Ninh FC secured a 2-1 victory against the PVF youth team. Cheered on by thousands of fans, the match was exciting from the very first minutes. In the 5th minute, the score was already 1-0 in favor of Bac Ninh FC. Following a quick pressing and ball recovery in the midfield, Pham Van Son received a perfect assist and finished accurately to give the home team the lead.

While Bac Ninh FC was still putting immense pressure on the opponent, the PVF youth team unexpectedly scored an equalizer. From a corner kick, Nguyen Van Bach positioned himself well and rose high to head the ball into the net, bringing the game back to square one.

Coach Park Hang-seo is currently a senior advisor to Bac Ninh Club.

After the score was tied 1-1, Bac Ninh FC continued to dominate the game. However, it wasn't until the 29th minute that the attacking efforts of the team advised by coach Park Hang-seo were rewarded. Following a chaotic scramble in the PVF youth team's penalty area, Nguyen The Thang unleashed a spectacular shot to give Bac Ninh FC a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, despite both teams attacking, no further goals were scored. Ultimately, Bac Ninh FC won 2-1 against the PVF youth team. Coach Park Hang-seo's team will face the Hanoi Police youth team on March 14th and the The Cong Viettel youth team on March 17th.

Former Vietnam national team head coach Park Hang-seo has signed a contract to become a senior advisor to Bac Ninh FC from the beginning of 2024. Bac Ninh FC, a newly established club preparing to participate in the national second division in 2024, is currently led by former SLNA head coach Ngo Quang Truong.

The team from the Quan Ho region promises to be a rising powerhouse in Vietnamese football. It's known that this brand-new club has spent heavily to hire coach Park Hang-seo. Furthermore, the Bac Ninh club's management is also harboring ambitious plans, investing millions of USD to operate the team.

With significant investment, Bac Ninh FC is renovating Tu Son Stadium to serve as their home ground and establishing their own youth academy. Coach Park Hang-seo will play a key role in guiding the future, supporting youth development, and operating the club to international standards. The team's goal is to compete in Vietnam's top football league, the V-League.
