The press conference before the opening match of Group B of the 33rd SEA Games men's football took place on the afternoon of December 2 in Bangkok. The press conference was attended only by the head coach of Vietnam U22 - Mr. Kim Sang-sik and the head coach of Laos U22 - Mr. Ha Hyeok-jun.

At the beginning of the sharing session, Coach Kim emphasized the importance of the SEA Games to Vietnamese football and affirmed that the whole team had prepared thoroughly. The Korean strategist said: “The SEA Games is a very important tournament for Vietnam. We will focus our maximum efforts towards the immediate goal of passing the group stage.”

Evaluating U22 Laos, the head coach of U22 Vietnam was cautious: “The two teams have met many times. The last time Vietnam won 2-0, but under coach Ha Hyeok-jun, Laos has made remarkable progress. He has had a great influence on Laos' playing style and team organization.”

Coach Kim Sang-sik also shared that U22 Vietnam has been training with very high intensity in the past time to best prepare for SEA Games 33. "We are very busy, trying to improve and mature every day. The whole team definitely wants to achieve the best results tomorrow" - Mr. Kim Sang-sik added.

Coach Kim affirmed that the goal of U22 Vietnam is to strive to achieve the best results. "In Southeast Asia, teams all have enthusiastic support from fans. I hope we can together contribute to the development of football in the region" - Dinh Bac's coach commented.

In a message to Vietnamese fans, coach Kim Sang-sik expressed: “This is my first time participating in the SEA Games. I thank the fans, whether they come directly to the stadium or watch on TV, for always supporting the team. We will try to bring joy and the best results.”

U22 Vietnam will meet U22 Laos in the opening match of Group B on the afternoon of December 3. Coach Kim Sang-sik and his team aim to win to create a favorable start for their journey to conquer the gold medal in men's football at the 33rd SEA Games.
