The People's Committee of Long Thanh District announced that it has approved a plan to provide temporary housing assistance to 270 households whose land was handed over for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project section passing through the district. The total amount of assistance is over 4.2 billion VND, helping people alleviate difficulties in handing over their land.
The temporary housing policy will help resolve difficulties in land handover.
Specifically, the number of households approved for temporary housing support under component project 1 is 69 cases, with a support amount of over 1 billion VND; component project 2: 201 cases, with a support amount of over 3.2 billion VND.
This policy aims to provide temporary housing for residents while also expediting the handover of land for construction.

To date, Long Thanh district has approved resettlement for 807 out of 1,700 eligible households. Of these, 709 households have been allocated resettlement housing. 87 households are awaiting the lottery draw. 11 households have not yet been approved due to disputes or the posting period has not expired. 727 cases remain ineligible for resettlement.
Bien Hoa City has handed over nearly 32 hectares, reaching almost 54% of the total area. The remaining area is awaiting the relocation of assets on the land. In Long Thanh district, component project 1 has handed over more than 62 hectares, reaching 80%; component project 2 has handed over nearly 138 hectares, reaching 91%.
Construction work on the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway is being carried out simultaneously across multiple projects. Specifically, component project 1 is focusing on embankment construction, beam casting, culverts, drainage systems, overpasses, etc. Component project 2 is focusing on roadbed construction, road surface, bridges, interchanges, and embankments. The total output of the contract packages currently stands at approximately 5-30%.
The entire Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, nearly 54km long, spans the two provinces of Dong Nai and Ba Ria - Vung Tau , with 4-6 lanes and a total investment of 17,800 billion VND. Of this, Ba Ria - Vung Tau is the investor for component project 3, nearly 20km long; the Ministry of Transport is the investor for component project 2, 18.2km long, passing through Long Thanh, Dong Nai; and Dong Nai province is the investor for component project 1, 16km long, passing through Bien Hoa city and Long Thanh (Dong Nai).
Currently, the progress of component projects 1 and 2 is behind schedule due to land acquisition and leveling issues. However, component project 3 is progressing more smoothly, with good output and is expected to open to traffic on April 30, 2025, as it has sufficient land, rocks, and sand.
