Miss Mai Phuong said something surprising when stopping at Top 40 Miss World 2024

After a three-week journey participating in the Miss World 2024 competition in India, Miss Mai Phuong returned to Vietnam today (March 11th). At the airport, the beauty queen born in 1999 was warmly welcomed by her mother, Miss Bao Ngoc, First Runner-up Minh Kien, Second Runner-up Bui Khanh Linh, and a large number of fans.

What did Miss Mai Phuong say after making it to the Top 40 of Miss World 2024?

Referring to her Top 40 finish at Miss World 2024, Miss Mai Phuong expressed: "For me, success at Miss World is not just about reaching the Top 40 and winning the Multimedia Challenge. For me, the greatest success and victory is that I and Vietnam have left a unique mark and warmth in people's hearts. I think they will remember the image of the Vietnamese people with their healing and sharing spirit, as I and the other contestants cared for and looked after each other… Notably, when mentioning Vietnam, many people will say: 'Your country is amazing, the people are truly very united.'"

Therefore, for me, victory and success are achieved when I feel countless good things coming my way. Once again, I thank and am very grateful to everyone who has been with me on this journey."

Miss Mai Phuong shared her memories of participating in the Miss World 2024 competition. In particular, the beauty queen, born in 1999, revealed details of a private interview at the beauty pageant. According to Miss Mai Phuong, she was scheduled to interview with her close friend, Nursena Say (representing Turkey) at Miss World 2024. Therefore, the conversation was very open and relaxed.

Miss Mai Phuong said that Miss World President Julia Morley shared: "Because there aren't many opportunities for us to talk to each other during the competition, please share more things you want the organizers to hear so we can understand you better."

Afterward, Mai Phuong expressed her feelings about the competition in the most genuine way. The Vietnamese representative also shared valuable experiences and lessons she only gained from participating in Miss World. "After completing the interview, I felt incredibly relieved because the important thing was that I didn't give up and always showed my sincerity. I didn't try to be anyone else. What's important is that I have confidence, which made the Miss World organizers remember and love me," Miss Mai Phuong affirmed.

Previously, the Miss World 2024 final, held in Mumbai, India on the evening of March 9th, attracted significant attention from beauty pageant enthusiasts. The top prize went to Krystyna Pyszková (24 years old) from the Czech Republic, while the first runner-up was the representative from Lebanon.

Miss Mai Phuong finished in the Top 40 of the final competition after winning the Multimedia Challenge. This was also Mai Phuong's first special award in the final stages of Miss World 2024. In addition, the Vietnamese representative also made it to the Top 25 of the Head to Head challenge within the framework of this beauty pageant.

Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong was crowned Miss World Vietnam 2022. Born in 1999, the beauty queen stands 1.7m tall and boasts attractive measurements of 77-62-90cm. She previously won Miss Dong Nai University 2018 and was a Top 5 finalist in Miss Vietnam 2020. In April 2022, Miss Mai Phuong achieved an 8.0 IELTS score. She is currently a host for many programs and events. The beauty from Dong Nai possesses many talents, including playing piano, guitar, and singing.
