According to the Hai Phong Department of Tourism , in 1965, Russian experts came to Vietnam to explore and drill 14B 850 m deep in Phac Xuyen village, Bach Dang commune, Tien Lang district, and discovered a hot water stream of up to 54 degrees Celsius erupting on the ground. The location of drill 14B is currently located within the Tien Lang hot mineral spring resort.

Due to the war, in 1983, the Hai Phong City Labor Federation officially invested and built this place into a health treatment center.
To promote the effectiveness of Tien Lang hot mineral water source, in 2004, Hai Phong City People's Committee approved Phu Vinh Company Limited as the investor to build and turn this place into a modern hot mineral spring tourist area on a total area of nearly 10 hectares, to serve the relaxation needs of domestic and foreign tourists.
Seen from above, Tien Lang Hot Spring Resort looks like a primeval forest, hidden within are service facilities built since 2004.
However, after 19 years of operation, Tien Lang Hot Spring Resort is less attractive to tourists because the service facilities from food, accommodation to bathing and soaking areas are degraded and have not been invested in upgrading or renovating. The whole resort looks like a primeval forest.
A representative of Tien Lang District leadership said that the Tien Lang Hot Spring Resort was transferred to a domestic corporation by the investor, Phu Vinh Company Limited. However, the procedures have not been completed and Phu Vinh continues to operate in this resort.

The 2-storey motel with equipment invested in and purchased since 2004 has now degraded, room rates range from 400 - 1.2 million VND/room/night.
The water bottling plant is located at the end of the land.
The octagonal house is an abandoned resting place for guests.
The water in the lake has not been changed for a long time and has turned yellow.
The mineral spring was designed with trickling water, now it has become a discolored ditch, thick with moss.
