According to Professor Phan Kim Nga, a senior researcher at the Institute of Marxist Studies under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences , the fact that General Secretary To Lam had an important article published in the People's Daily has significant meaning. First, this is the first time that both Vietnam and China have published important articles by their respective leaders during visits to each other.
Secondly, this also demonstrates a new form of media cooperation between Vietnam and China, showing that the exchange and interaction between the press of the two countries is also a form of cooperation during reciprocal visits of Party and State leaders, aiming to publish such important articles.
Thirdly, this reflects the satisfaction of both sides with the current development of bilateral relations, and their agreement on how to promote cooperation in many areas in the future. Therefore, overall, from the article by General Secretary To Lam published in the People's Daily in China and the article by General Secretary Xi Jinping published in the People's Newspaper in Vietnam, the leaders of both countries are satisfied with the current development of Vietnam-China relations and full of expectations for the future.
The two leaders hoped to strengthen mutual strategic trust and orient bilateral relations to further improve the direction of development between the two countries, while making greater contributions to further promoting the building of a strategically significant Vietnam-China community with a shared future.
Fourth, General Secretary To Lam's article introduced and explained Vietnam's new era of development. This is very useful, helping Chinese theorists, citizens, and readers better understand Vietnam's strategic development thinking, opening up opportunities for more cooperation between the two countries in the future.
Professor Phan Kim Nga stated: “I think this is very helpful for the Chinese people to understand the General Secretary of Vietnam, to understand Vietnam's development, and to understand the Vietnamese people. Hopefully, in the future, both sides will have more important articles like this and can exchange information through various media channels to enhance mutual understanding, further improve public opinion, and contribute positively to the further development of the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future.”
According to Professor Dr. Thanh Han Binh, Director of the Institute for Regional and National Studies and Director of the Vietnam Research Center at Zhejiang University of Technology (China), in his article, General Secretary To Lam reviewed the 75-year history of bilateral relations with deep affection; emphasized that "peace, friendship, and cooperative development have always been the main currents in the relationship between the two countries"; and presented a vision of a new era of development in bilateral relations, reflecting the common aspiration of the people of both countries to continuously promote Vietnam-China relations to a new level and achieve more important and comprehensive achievements in areas of cooperation. Currently, the two countries are jointly building a strategically significant community of shared future between Vietnam and China.
Furthermore, General Secretary To Lam also put forward four proposals for the future development of bilateral relations. Chinese scholars expressed that these suggestions are very relevant to the current reality. In this particularly complex and changing era, Vietnam and China must jointly contribute to safeguarding regional and global peace, practicing multilateralism and globalization; acting together for the happiness of the people of both countries and cooperating for mutual benefit, leading bilateral relations steadily into a new era of development.
