Students compete in "Ring the Golden Bell" to learn about natural disaster prevention and control

DNO - On October 27, the Agricultural Extension Center of Da Nang City (under the Department of Agriculture and Environment) coordinated with the People's Committee of Thanh Khe Ward to organize the "Golden Bell" contest to promote knowledge and disseminate laws on natural disaster prevention and control, and climate change adaptation for students of Nguyen Duy Hieu Secondary School (Thanh Khe Ward).

The contest is for students from grades 6 to 9, contributing to the successful implementation of the Project on Raising Community Awareness and Community-Based Disaster Risk Management for the period 2021 - 2025 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.

The main content is related to knowledge about types of natural disasters occurring in Da Nang city, such as: saltwater intrusion, heat waves, storms, heavy rains, floods, flash floods, inundation, localized flooding...

At the same time, provide guidance on skills and experience in preventing and responding to natural disasters; solutions to mitigate climate change intensity and natural disaster risks...

It is known that over the past month, the contest was held at 9 secondary schools in Thanh Khe ward, including secondary schools: Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Do Dang Tuyen, Le Thi Hong Gam, Nguyen Trai, Huynh Thuc Khang, Chu Van An, Nguyen Duy Hieu and Phan Dinh Phung, with the participation of 900 students selected from grades 6 to 9 of each school.
