Colonel Nguyen Trong Luu, Head of Training Department ( Military Technical Academy), has just announced that the 2024 university admissions of the Military Technical Academy have a new point compared to the 2023 university admissions; that is, for the first time, this academy has added a method of using the results of the capacity assessment exam of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City National University for admission consideration.

The remaining methods, the Military Technical Academy still applies as in 2023: direct admission, priority admission implemented according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense; admission of excellent high school students, implemented for candidates who won first, second, third prizes in subjects in the admission group at the provincial excellent student selection exam; candidates with international foreign language certificates IELTS, TOEFL, SAT, ACT...; admission based on the results of the 2024 high school graduation exam.
Colonel Luu advised: "To be eligible for admission to the Military Technical Academy, students need to complete the preliminary registration procedure at the military command at the district level where they register their permanent residence, the registration time is approximately from March 15. Details on training targets, procedures, preliminary registration procedures, and admission registration, the academy will widely announce when there is an enrollment plan from the Military Admissions Board of the Ministry of National Defense.
Students who wish to apply for admission using the results of the competency assessment exams of the two national universities need to proactively register and attend the exams organized by those universities, and obtain a certificate of exam results to complete the admission procedures to the academy.
Colonel Luu also added that, in addition to the outstanding advantages in terms of quality assurance conditions (facilities, a team of lecturers who are leading experts in technical fields, etc.), candidates admitted to the Military Technical Academy also have the opportunity to be sent for training abroad. "Every year, the academy selects 20% of its quota to send for training at universities in Russia, the Czech Republic, Japan, etc.," said Colonel Luu.
