National Defense Academy hands over 2 "Houses of Gratitude" to people of Muong Khuong, Lao Cai

The funding to support the construction of the "House of Gratitude" is 80 million VND/house, voluntarily contributed by students of Class 51A - Short-term training in command - campaign and strategy (Campaign - Strategy System, National Defense Academy).

Implementing the policy of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the National Defense Academy on promoting mass mobilization work, helping people and responding to the movements of "repaying gratitude", "The Army joins hands to build new rural areas, leaving no one behind", from a practical experience trip to Lao Cai province, witnessing the difficulties of local people, the collective of students of Class 51A - Short-term training in command - campaign and strategy staff agreed to report to the competent authorities at all levels of the National Defense Academy, and proactively coordinated with the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command (Military Region 2) and local Party committees and authorities to conduct surveys and select the right subjects to carry out support and assistance steps.

Colonel Pham Van Toan, Deputy Head of Politics, National Defense Academy, presented the Decision to hand over "Houses of Gratitude" to 2 disadvantaged households.

After nearly 3 months of urgent construction, the 2 "Houses of Gratitude" were completed on schedule, ensuring quality and architectural aesthetics; and put into use on the eve of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 / July 27, 2024).

At the ceremony, the leaders of the Political Department of the National Defense Academy presented the Decision on handing over the “House of Gratitude” and the symbolic keys to the households. On this occasion, representatives of Class 51A, leaders of the Lao Cai Provincial Military Command and representatives of the local government presented the two families who received the “House of Gratitude” with many gifts and valuable essential household items.

Expressing his emotion when receiving the “House of Gratitude”, Mr. Trang Seo Chan said: Thanks to the policies of the Party and the Army, people in difficult circumstances like my family have a new, spacious and solid house to live, do business, develop the economy, and quickly escape poverty sustainably. In particular, my family is very grateful to the comrades of Class 51A (National Defense Academy). Uncle Ho's soldiers not only supported the funding, but also gave a lot of love and sharing to us. From now on, the long journey from Muong Khuong to Hanoi seems closer, because my family has close brothers at the National Defense Academy.
