Over 20,000 Tet holiday gift packages were distributed to near-poor households and households with particularly difficult circumstances.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City is expected to distribute 20,346 gift packages to near-poor households and households with particularly difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake (2015).

On the afternoon of January 13th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City organized the "Spring of Love - Year of the Snake 2025" program, presenting Tet gifts to disadvantaged households in the city and commending and rewarding organizations and individuals who have achieved success in mobilizing support to overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 ( Yagi ).

At the event, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City directly presented 70 Tet gifts for the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake to near-poor households and households with particularly difficult circumstances in 7 districts and counties on the mainland of the city.

According to Tran Thi Man, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, the "Spring of Love - Year of the Snake 2025" program is expected to distribute 20,346 gifts to near-poor households and households with particularly difficult circumstances, totaling 10.2 billion VND.

It is known that this year, Da Nang city plans to spend over 126 billion VND on Tet gifts (over 7.4 billion VND from the central government budget, over 108.4 billion VND from the city budget, and over 10.2 billion VND from the city's "For the Poor" Fund).

According to information from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City, as of December 31, 2024, the "For the Poor" Fund throughout the city had mobilized and received donations from organizations, units, businesses, and individuals at all levels totaling 35.098 billion VND (6.575 billion VND at the city level; 9.492 billion VND at the district level; and 19.031 billion VND at the ward/commune level).

Responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to mobilize support for people to overcome the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 (Typhoon Yagi), the Da Nang City Fatherland Front received 3,906 donations from all strata of people, officials, civil servants, soldiers of the armed forces, religious organizations, agencies, units, and businesses in the city, totaling 50.374 billion VND.
