Specifically, volunteers organized receptions and support for candidates and their families at examination sites by forming "Free Volunteer Motorbike Taxi" teams to transport disadvantaged candidates during the exam days - especially those with mobility difficulties, disabilities, or no means of transportation; and assisting candidates in unforeseen situations such as forgetting exam documents or going to the wrong exam location.
In addition, all examination centers have set up areas to distribute essential items free of charge to candidates and their families, such as drinking water, snacks, candy, school supplies, and handheld fans.

During the 2024 high school graduation exam, more than 5,000 volunteers participated. Resources mobilized by the City Youth Union and the City Student Association included over 38,000 support packages, nearly 30,000 boxes of cakes and candies, over 6,000 boxes of various beverages, 10,000 handheld fans, and hundreds of large umbrellas, pens, etc., with a total value of over 5 billion VND.
According to Nguyen Tien Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union and President of the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi, in preparation for the 2024 "Supporting Students During Exams" campaign, the Hanoi Youth Union and Student Association had previously organized training for 1,000 Youth Union and Student Association officials from universities, colleges, academies, districts, towns, high schools, and continuing education centers. The training aimed to thoroughly explain the key policies and contents of the campaign's implementation plan, and to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills. This included training for team leaders, deputy team leaders, and volunteer youth participating in the campaign's activities.
Regarding volunteer recruitment, during the high school graduation exam, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Student Association selected and trained over 5,000 volunteers to participate in supporting the exam season at 196 exam locations. They ensured that 15-20 volunteers were stationed outside the school gates during the exam; participated in traffic management, guided candidates to maintain safe distances, helped candidates find their exam rooms; provided drinking water, and guided and directed candidates into the exam rooms.

In particular, the City Youth Union and the City Student Association implemented the "Teacher's Uniforms to School" project, which includes free tutoring for 9th and 12th grade students to help them quickly prepare for exams, regaining their confidence and knowledge to be ready for the test. 210 disadvantaged students received tutoring, and 290 student volunteers registered to be tutors.
During the examination period, the working group of the City Youth Union - Ho Chi Minh City Student Association regularly inspected and monitored the performance of the teams at the examination sites of the 30 districts and towns, promptly correcting and reminding volunteers when they did not perform their duties correctly.
It is understood that after the high school graduation exam, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Student Association will review students from disadvantaged backgrounds to provide timely support and facilitate their enrollment; contact schools to arrange dormitory accommodation; and award scholarships under the "Supporting Students to School" program…
