Ami Sia Brocade Sewing Cooperative was honored as a typical national cooperative managed by women.

The Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union has just honored 50 cooperatives with outstanding achievements in implementing the Project "Supporting cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers by 2030" (Project 01).

In which, Dak Lak province has 1 collective honored as Ami Sia Brocade Sewing Cooperative (Kniet village, Ea Ktur commune).

Established in 2022 with 10 members, Ami Sia Brocade Tailoring Cooperative specializes in producing and trading traditional brocade costumes of the Ede people. The cooperative was established not only to create jobs and increase income for local women and youth, but also to contribute to preserving and promoting national culture.

Ami Sia Brocade Sewing Cooperative introduces products at the 2024 Workshop on connecting trade, linking production and consumption of cooperative products.

The Cooperative has improved traditional brocade costumes, preserving cultural features but making them soft, aesthetic, and reasonably priced (from 800,000 - 1,400,000 VND/set), suitable for modern needs. In 2023, the Cooperative's innovative traditional brocade costumes were certified with 3-star OCOP. From 2018 to now, the Cooperative has sold more than 3,000 products domestically and internationally, earning a profit of more than 1.5 billion VND.

Project 01 is implemented to contribute to consolidating, maintaining and improving the quality of cooperatives managed and operated by women, creating more jobs for female workers; in accordance with the conditions and socio -economic characteristics of each locality, each region and the whole country. At the same time, promoting the internal strength of members in building and developing cooperatives managed and operated by women, creating more jobs for female workers.
