In an interview with Bloomberg Television on October 27, Mr. Abdollahian emphasized: "The US advises other countries to exercise restraint, but they fully support Israel. If the US continues what it has done so far, new fronts will open against the US."

Foreign Minister Abdollahian noted that Tehran has not sent troops to Syria or other areas in the region, but warned that Israel's activities in the Gaza Strip would have serious consequences.

“The opening of new fronts is inevitable, and this will force Israel to regret its actions… Anything can happen, any front can be opened,” the Iranian minister warned.

A day earlier, the Pentagon confirmed that the US, on orders from President Joe Biden, had conducted strikes on two sites in Syria used by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and pro-Iran groups.

Previously, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin also confirmed on October 26 that the US had conducted attacks on facilities of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and its affiliated groups near Abu Kamal, in eastern Syria.

The White House said the warning was sent to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, after a series of attacks on Iranian bases in Syria and Iraq that left 21 people lightly injured and one dead. Earlier, on October 25, Syria announced the closure of Damascus and Aleppo airports until further notice. On October 24, an Israeli attack caused Aleppo airport to shut down for the fourth time since the start of the Gaza war on October 7.
