IVF Phuong Chau Saigon re-attains RTAC certification: International standard for assisted reproduction

Phuong Chau Saigon IVF Reproductive Support Center (belonging to Phuong Nam Hospital - a member of Phuong Chau Medical Group) has just officially re-attained RTAC certification - the leading international standard in the field of reproductive support, granted by the Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee of Australia and New Zealand.

This is the second time the center has received this certification, following a re-evaluation conducted on September 29th and 30th, 2025. This achievement demonstrates that Phuong Chau Saigon IVF Center continues to comprehensively meet the requirements for safety, quality, and effectiveness in infertility treatment, while also contributing to raising the standards of IVF practice in Vietnam.

International standards in assisted reproduction

RTAC (Reproductive Technology Accreditation Committee) is a set of assisted reproductive technology practice standards issued by the Australian Society for Reproductive Medicine, outlining 12 essential standards and 7 good practice standards that IVF centers must meet. These standards aim to control quality, reduce risks, and ensure patient safety throughout the treatment process.

According to representatives from Phuong Chau Saigon IVF Center, the 2023 version of the international RTAC standards currently being applied by the center is the highest-level guideline for management and operation in the field of assisted reproductive technology. The re-certification after the periodic assessment demonstrates that the system has been maintained stably, continuously improved, and meets international standards.

Ensuring absolute safety for both the patient and the embryo.

During the assessment, RTAC expert Dr. Adrianne Pope (Australia) highly praised the patient, gamete, and embryo identification system of Phuong Chau Saigon IVF Center. The entire process is controlled by IMS Checker technology, which helps to accurately track and retrieve information at all times, absolutely preventing the risk of sample mix-ups.

The center's LAB now meets ISO 5 cleanroom standards, making it one of the pioneering units in Southeast Asia to achieve this standard in the field of IVF. The high-purity environment enhances embryo development and minimizes risks during the culture process.

The evaluation team also noted the comprehensive and well-coordinated staff, including the participation of a psychologist in the treatment process – a factor considered rare in IVF centers in Vietnam.

According to experts, the fact that Phuong Chau Saigon IVF Center has regained RTAC certification not only affirms the center's professional capabilities but also marks a step forward for Vietnam's assisted reproductive technology industry in approaching international standards.
