HBO has stopped distributing its HBO Go package in Vietnam.

According to HBO representatives in Vietnam, HBO and Cinemax channels are only being included in the HBO Go package to align with HBO Go's distribution policy in the region. Historically, HBO has not had these channels in the region, only VOD; only the Vietnamese market has had them included in the HBO Go package.

HBO is only offering this service through the HBO Go package.

Accordingly, from March 1st this year, the HBO Go package will only distribute VOD content, no longer including the channel. The channel will still be broadcast on other pay-TV platforms such as cable, IPTV, etc., as usual. The channel will still be distributed in Vietnam as normal, it's just that it will no longer be bundled within HBO.

Popular since the 2000s, HBO and Cinemax are two international television channels familiar to Vietnamese audiences, renowned for their blockbuster movies and high-quality television series.
