Local authorities have mobilized maximum resources and personnel according to the "four on-the-spot" principle to urgently repair and clear roads, ensuring safety for people and vehicles passing through.
In Hung Son commune, prolonged heavy rain has caused landslides, with hundreds of cubic meters of soil and rocks falling onto the road at the intersection of Cha Noc village, about 4 km from the Tay Giang - Ka Lum border gate. Many large rocks have fallen onto the road, almost completely paralyzing traffic.
In response to this situation, Hung Son commune mobilized the entire political system to address the landslide. The commune's Military Command deployed one excavator, two trucks, and 20 militia officers and soldiers to urgently clear the debris and reopen the road, ensuring the safe passage of people and vehicles.
According to the commander of the Hung Son Commune Military Command, Hoih Nhai, the road leading to the Tay Giang - Ka Lum sub-border gate has been largely reopened to traffic in the first phase after repairs. Despite the complex weather conditions and the large amount of landslides still present, the militia and local authorities are working tirelessly to clear the road, ensuring stable travel, daily life, and trade for the people.

Hung Son commune has erected warning signs at locations at risk of landslides. The commune's police force has intensified efforts to raise awareness and guide residents to limit travel through landslide-prone areas to prevent the risk of landslides and falling rocks from the embankment onto the road. Authorities advise all vehicles to strictly follow the instructions of the task force when passing through the landslide area; and have stationed guards at these points to ensure the safety of people traveling through the area.
In Tay Giang commune, the local authorities have mobilized forces based on the "four on-the-spot" principle, preparing vehicles and materials at high-risk landslide areas to regularly and continuously address the problem, ensuring the safety of people traveling.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Tay Giang commune, Arat Blui, emphasized that, given the complex weather patterns and frequent landslides in the area, the commune requires relevant units and forces to continue ensuring the safety of the people and proactively handle any emerging situations. The commune's Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue Command regularly reviews high-risk landslide areas and deploys personnel on duty 24/7 to respond promptly. The Economic Department and the construction unit have prepared sufficient machinery, equipment, and materials to be ready to clear and reopen roads when landslides occur, ensuring safe and smooth traffic flow.
The commune police and militia forces coordinated to set up checkpoints, erect warning signs, and guide people to avoid dangerous areas. Villages and residential areas intensified propaganda and mobilization efforts to raise people's awareness of prevention during the rainy and stormy season.
Mr. Arat Blui added that the commune also requested the city's functional agencies to provide early support in surveying and investing in embankment projects to prevent landslides and constructing stepped slopes in areas with steep slopes, in order to ensure the safety of the people and stabilize their lives in the long term.
