Opening of the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of National Day September 2

The A80 Press Center will serve nearly 1,550 reporters and editors from more than 200 domestic and foreign press agencies - the largest number ever at major holidays.

On the afternoon of August 26, the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025 (Steering Committee) inaugurated the Press Center for the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the event were comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee; comrade Nguyen Khac Dinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; comrade Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Science and Technology; comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education ; comrade Le Hai Binh, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Director of the Press Center; and representatives of many central ministries, departments and branches.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Hai Binh emphasized the significance of the opening of the Press Center right at Ba Dinh Square, where 80 years ago President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. That was a great event for the nation, opening a new era for the Vietnamese people, an era of independence, freedom and happiness.

According to Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, over the past 80 years, under the wise leadership of the Party, the Vietnamese people have overcome many difficult challenges of history, achieving resounding victories. In the process of renovation from a poor, backward country devastated by war, Vietnam has achieved many great achievements in economy , society, national defense, security, etc.

The 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 is a very special and important occasion for the country for the entire Party, people and army to review the heroic history, show deep gratitude to previous generations, and at the same time foster the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of great solidarity, the desire for peace, self-reliance and self-respect of the nation. Along with that, it affirms the determination of the entire Party and people to build and protect Vietnam to become increasingly rich and prosperous.

“The activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day contribute to arousing and fostering the people's trust and pride in the Party, the State and the cause of national renewal, creating unity within the Party, social consensus to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; encouraging and motivating cadres, party members and people to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seize opportunities and chances, and be determined to complete the goals, bringing the country into a new era - an era of strong and prosperous development of the Vietnamese people”, Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized.

This is the focal point for providing information, managing, supporting operations, handling press requests, and at the same time creating all favorable conditions for reporters to report quickly and accurately, contributing to the overall success of the celebration.

Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh requested domestic and international press agencies to strictly comply with regulations on security, safety, and operational diagrams. The close coordination of reporters and editors not only helps propaganda work effectively but also ensures absolute safety for the celebration activities. With the cooperation and consensus, we believe that the A80 Press Center will make an important contribution to the success of the 80th National Day Celebration of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
