National Children's Hospital, Branch 2 officially comes into operation

Attending the inauguration ceremony was Deputy Minister of Health Le Duc Luan. This is one of 250 key projects simultaneously started and inaugurated on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, with special significance as it targets children - the future of the country.
After nearly 3 years of construction since early 2023, facility 2 has been completed with synchronous infrastructure, advanced equipment system, and digitalized medical examination and treatment process. The hospital can accommodate 300 inpatient beds and about 1,500 outpatient visits per day, creating favorable conditions for people in many localities to access high-quality medical services right in the area.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien, Director of the National Children's Hospital, this is a project under the capital's construction planning until 2030, with a vision to 2050, and has been completed after more than 2 years of construction. The project marks a strategic step forward in expanding the scale, improving the capacity for specialized medical examination and treatment, and ensuring fairness in access to high-quality medical services for children.
Facility 2 has 11 clinical departments, 4 paraclinical departments and 1 functional unit, fully meeting the tasks of emergency, treatment and rehabilitation. The modern equipment system includes CT machine, ECMO, blood filter, one-way sterile operating room, 3D endoscopic surgery...
The focus of the second facility is on specialized diseases such as cancer, surgery, allergy - immunology - rheumatology, psychiatry and rehabilitation. The hospital aims to become a smart, modern pediatric center, pioneering in specialized techniques, contributing to reducing the burden on the first facility and effectively serving the needs of children's health care in Hanoi and neighboring areas.
