Embark on a meaningful journey.
At the end of November 2025, Quan Son commune held a ceremony to welcome a delegation of officers and soldiers from Regiment 141 who came to carry out civilian outreach work in the area. Approximately 70 officers and soldiers participated in various activities for a month, from supporting the construction of transportation infrastructure to going to each village to help people develop their economy , beautify villages, and visit disadvantaged households…
Mr. Lo Hong Minh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Quan Son commune, emotionally shared: "The Party Committee, the government, and the people of the commune are very honored and excited to welcome the delegation of officers and soldiers from Regiment 141 to the locality. This is an activity of special significance, affirming the tradition of solidarity between the military and the people, and the fact that 'Uncle Ho's soldiers' are always closely connected to the people. We are committed to closely coordinating and creating all conditions for the comrades to successfully complete their nhiệm vụ."
In a warm and sincere atmosphere, Lieutenant Colonel Duong The Tung, Deputy Political Commissar of Regiment 141, on behalf of the delegation, expressed: "We thank the leaders and people of Quan Son commune for their thoughtful reception. Regiment 141 will fulfill its responsibilities, overcome difficulties, and support the people effectively, in the spirit of unity between the military and the people."

The imprint of the village life is evident in everything from the concrete roads to the traditional way of living.
To date, in just about half a month of implementation, the results achieved by Regiment 141, along with the Party committee, government, and people of Quan Son commune, have created a noticeable transformation. In the villages, the sounds of concrete mixers, shovels scooping sand and stones, mixed with joyful laughter, have become familiar sounds every day.
As of December 11th, nearly 1,500 meters of concrete road, 3 meters wide and 18 centimeters thick, have been completed in the three villages of Co Huong, Suoi Mo, and Na Lia. It is expected that after the completion of this community mobilization campaign, this figure will reach 2,800 meters, a result far exceeding initial expectations.
The newly opened roads not only facilitate convenient travel for the people but also reduce the cost of transporting agricultural products, promote trade, and improve the quality of life. These are also important criteria in building new rural areas, a goal that Quan Son is striving to achieve in the 2025-2030 period.
Mr. Nguyen Hung Manh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quan Son commune, shared with the Government Online Newspaper: "The participation of Regiment 141 has helped us accelerate the progress of rural road construction, ensuring quality and significantly reducing the burden on the people. But more importantly, the sense of responsibility, closeness, and sincerity of the soldiers have spread very strongly, creating trust and motivation for the people."
Besides building roads, the soldiers also went to individual households to help with garden renovations, house repairs, and provide guidance on farming techniques and livestock care. Many poor households and families receiving preferential treatment have received practical assistance, from labor to essential supplies.

The "extended arms" of the military-civilian solidarity.
A notable aspect of this mass mobilization campaign was the synchronized involvement of the entire political system of Quan Son commune. Organizations under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, including the Youth Union, the Women's Union, and the Veterans Association, mobilized a total of approximately 55 members to participate in coordination with the soldiers of Regiment 141.
The local community provided support ranging from mobilizing people to contribute labor to the concrete paving of roads, to visiting and encouraging the soldiers. In many villages, people also sent the soldiers simple gifts such as vegetables, bunches of bananas, chickens, ducks, and bags of rice… All of these contained sincere heartfelt sentiments.
"It is the unity of the entire political system and the people that has created a combined strength. The bond between the military and the people during their joint work has become a strong glue, helping everything to be implemented quickly and effectively. At road construction sites, it is easy to see elderly people standing by the roadside encouraging the soldiers; children happily bringing water to the troops; and the soldiers persistently working in the cold mountain weather, always maintaining exemplary conduct and discipline," said Mr. Nguyen Hung Manh.

Sustainable value for long-term development
After their road-building duties, the young soldiers would go down to the villages to participate in cultural and sports activities with the local youth. Each evening, a story would be told by the campfire, accompanied by music and singing to dispel the chill of the highlands. These simple things created a bond that transcended their work duties.
When asked about their feelings regarding the mission, the leaders of Quan Son commune all shared the same opinion: "The relationship between the military and the people in the locality was already good, and now it has become even deeper."
Mr. Nguyen Hung Manh shared the local community's aspirations: "The people greatly appreciate the officers and soldiers of Regiment 141. In the future, we hope Regiment 141 will continue to accompany us in activities related to building new rural areas, developing the economy, maintaining security and order, and disseminating legal information to the people. Maintaining fraternal relations, exchanges, and providing labor support will bring many sustainable values to the community."
Quan Son is a mountainous commune facing many difficulties, but it has a strong determination to improve the lives of its people, strengthen the grassroots political system, and develop a sustainable economy. The support of military units such as Regiment 141 is a crucial resource helping the locality gradually realize this goal.
