Impressive "feast cooking" meal of Khoai Lang Thang
The story of "cooking a feast" (Khoai Lang Thang's words) for 50 children living at the center in the slum of Kibera, Kenya was divided into three separate clips on Facebook.
Khoai tells the journey from going to the market with everyone to buy ingredients, then the Kenyan way of cooking.

Khoai's storytelling is simple, informative, and has interesting images. For example, in Kenya, tomatoes, onions, and cabbage are bought by the fruit, not by the kilogram like in Vietnam. Their way of cutting vegetables is also different.
In the clip, Khoai Lang Thang also shares how to cook dishes from beef and chicken ingredients.
Boiled beef is made into two dishes:
Pilao: After the beef is boiled, take the pot and add the shallots and fry the beef. Then add the grated ginger and minced garlic. Wash the rice and put it in the pot and mix well. Add the beef broth, add the Masala seasoning, add the tomato sauce, then cook the rice.
Beef and potato soup : Fry beef in oil, add shallots, add bell peppers and tomatoes. Then, put potatoes in the pot and stir-fry, add broth to soften.
Chapati : This is a traditional Kenyan cake. The ingredients are flour mixed with chopped red carrots and then baked on the stove.
Fried chicken : This dish is quite simple, including chicken marinated with ginger, a little salt and then fried until crispy.
Meals that touch the heart
Travel blogger Khoai Lang Thang's real name is Dinh Vo Hoai Phuong, from Ben Tre . He is familiar in the community of people who love to travel and explore.
Khoai Lang Thang shared in the clip that the idea of organizing this party came from a visit he made to the Kibera slum in Kenya, Africa, and learned about this children's center.
The children here only have one meal a week with meat, the rest of the time they eat vegetables and starch. Fruit is almost non-existent because it is only for the well-off families.

Before the special meal, everyone spent 30 minutes dancing lively Kenyan dances.
"Delicious. Thanks for the feast. We appreciate it," a Kenyan said in the clip.
As for YouTube viewers, seeing Kenyan children with happy and innocent faces enjoying delicious meals, they wrote: "Cuisine is a wordless language - it doesn't need to be the same, just cook with all your heart, whether in Kibera or Vietnam... it will touch your heart!".
