Construction begins on the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Investment and Construction Project (Phase 1).

(Dong Nai) - On the morning of August 19th, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway Construction Project (Phase 1) took place in Dau Giay commune, Dong Nai province.

Attending the ceremony was Bui Quang Thai, Director of the Vietnam Road Administration ( Ministry of Construction ).

Leaders from Dong Nai province attending the ceremony included: Ms. Huynh Thi Hang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province; Ms. Dang Minh Nguyet, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People's Council of Long Khanh ward; and leaders from various departments, agencies, and localities in the province.

This is one of eight key projects and works selected by Dong Nai province to be started and inaugurated to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

The Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway is the first section of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong Expressway, spanning over 60km. Its starting point is at Km0+000, at the intersection with National Highway 1, connecting to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, located in Dau Giay commune; its end point is at Km60+243.83 (at the end of the intersection with National Highway 20), connecting to the Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway Project, located in Phu Lam commune. The total investment for the project is nearly 8.5 trillion VND.
