Prosecution of director and deputy director of vehicle inspection center in Quang Ngai

On May 16, the Investigation Police Agency of Quang Ngai Province Police announced that it had just initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, executed a temporary detention order and a search warrant against Mr. Vo Quang Phat - Director and Bui Tan Binh - Deputy Director of the 76-03D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center of Dong Hung Investment, Trade and Service Company Limited (address: Binh Hoa Commune, Binh Son District).

Mr. Phat and Mr. Binh were prosecuted for the act of "Forgery in work" as prescribed in Article 359 of the Penal Code.

Previously, in early May, the People's Procuracy of Dong Nai province approved the decision to prosecute and issue a temporary arrest warrant against Mr. Duong Viet Hong (48 years old) - Director of Dong Nai Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (An Binh ward, Bien Hoa city) to investigate the act of accepting bribes.

Mr. Hong is the director of 3 motor vehicle inspection centers: 60-01S (Bien Hoa City), 60-02S (Long Khanh City), 60-03S (Dinh Quan District).

On April 26, the Provincial Police Department urgently arrested and searched Mr. Hong's workplace and residence to serve the investigation.

Regarding the incident, the Provincial People's Procuracy is consolidating the case file to continue investigating a number of officials related to the Dong Nai Motor Vehicle Inspection Center.

In January, Dong Nai police also temporarily detained 23 employees of Inspection Center 60-05D and Inspection Center 60-04D for their involvement in giving and receiving bribes.
