Kim Soo Hyun refused to attend his famous father's wedding

Recently, actor Kim Soo Hyun's father - Mr. Kim Chung Hoon (lead vocalist of the band Seven Dolphins) held a wedding with a long-time friend.

The Fact (Korea) reported that Mr. Kim and his second wife have been married for a while but have not held an official wedding ceremony. Therefore, on April 13, Mr. Kim Chung Hoon's private wedding took place with the participation of relatives and friends.

During the wedding, Kim Soo Hyun's father shared: "I am very grateful to her for being by my side when I had nothing. I always wanted to hold a wedding ceremony for her. But remember to cover my wife's face."

According to The Face, the male lead of "Queen of Tears" did not attend the wedding. Mr. Kim Chung Hoon affirmed that he did not want to cause trouble for his son. However, the actor's fans were still upset when the wedding information was published in the media.

Viewers criticized Kim Soo Hyun's father for using his name to publicize his marriage.

On forums, fans commented: "From what I know, Kim Soo Hyun's parents are divorced and he grew up living with only his mother. He is not close to his father at all. I hope his father and half-brother will stop using his name for promotion."

Agreeing, another account criticized Mr. Kim Chung Hoon: "This father wanted to hold a small and private wedding but called the press, revealing that Kim Soo Hyun was not there.

This is not the first time fans have criticized Kim Soo Hyun's relatives. Previously, the actor's half-sister was accused of using her brother's fame to participate in an idol selection program.

In 2015, Juna Kim (Produce 101) revealed that she was Kim Soo Hyun's younger sister while promoting her album "K-Drama High Society". The female singer also publicly listed the star's name, born in 1988, in her family profile.

In response to Juna Kim's move, the actor's management company KEYEAST issued a statement confirming the family relationship. However, Kim Soo Hyun's side also noted that the two grew up completely separately, without any interaction.
