The Hue City Military Command directs the acceleration of house construction for flood-affected residents.

(Chinhphu.vn) - Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign," in recent days, the Hue City Military Command has deployed officers and soldiers to coordinate with other forces to accelerate the construction progress, helping people to have new homes as soon as possible.

Due to the impact of heavy rain and flooding in Hue City, 5 houses were completely destroyed (3 in Khe Tre commune and 2 in Loc An commune), 9 houses were damaged, and more than 90 households are at risk of landslides and need to be urgently relocated.

Recognizing the "Quang Trung Campaign" as a crucial political task, and to expedite the construction of houses for three families in Khe Tre commune and two families in Loc An commune whose houses were destroyed, the City Military Command has deployed 80 officers and soldiers from Regiment 6 and the Defense Command of Area 3 – Phu Loc to coordinate with local militia and residents to support house construction with the utmost urgency, efficiency, and quality.

As of today (December 12th), officers and soldiers of the City Military Command and militia forces have assisted 5 families in constructing their houses ahead of schedule. Of these, 2 families in Loc An commune are nearing completion of their walls, and 3 families in Khe Tre commune have basically completed their foundations.

Looking at his new house gradually taking shape, Mr. Nguyen Van Duc (Dong Xuan village, Loc An commune) emotionally shared: "My family is very excited and grateful for the attention of the Party and the State. In recent days, the soldiers and militia have actively supported the construction, thereby speeding up the progress."

Colonel Ha Van Ai, Deputy Political Commissar of the Hue City Military Command, said: The Hue City Military Command considers the task of building houses for households affected by the recent natural disaster as an urgent and important political task. Therefore, after the families began building their houses, the City Military Command directed its units to coordinate with the contractor to manage daily work, organize and assign departments to assist the families in a focused and targeted manner, ensuring progress, quality, and safety.

Taking advantage of favorable weather conditions, the Hue City Military Command continues to require its units to mobilize the highest possible number of personnel, working around the clock to expedite the completion of new houses, repair damaged structures, and assist residents in settling into the resettlement area. The goal is to complete these projects ahead of schedule to help residents quickly return to normal life.
