On the morning of November 23rd, the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23rd, 2024) and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association (November 2004 – November 2024).

The Thanh Hoa Antiquities Association was established by a decision of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on November 12, 2004. In 2015, the Thanh Hoa Antiquities Association merged with the Lam Kinh Branch of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association, taking the name Thanh Hoa Cultural Heritage and Antiquities Association (DSVH&CVTH).

Over 20 years of operation, the Association of Cultural Heritage and Heritage Preservation has become a "common home" for members who are responsible and dedicated to the work of preserving, restoring, and promoting cultural heritage values.
With 6 branches, each with its own function and nature of operation, the Association for Cultural Heritage and Conservation has done a good job in recent years in disseminating information and raising people's awareness of the value of cultural heritage and the necessity of preserving and safeguarding these cultural heritage values.
In particular, the Association has made a significant contribution to the restoration of the traditional craft of bronze drum casting. Accordingly, the Association has restored 3 traditional bronze drum casting centers; collaborated with artisans to train and pass on the craft to hundreds of people; cast 100 bronze drums as offerings for the millennium anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi ; donated bronze drums to the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel National Special Monument; restored and staged the bronze drum dance; organized competitions for casting bronze drums and cannons using traditional methods...
Furthermore, the Association of Cultural Heritage and Traditional Crafts is one of the leading organizations in establishing local branches dedicated to preserving the Mother Goddess worship tradition. To date, the province has 10 such branches with over 500 members. Five festivals showcasing the practice of offering sacrifices to the Mother Goddess have been organized, with the participation of outstanding artisans and folk artists.
At the ceremony, delegates listened to presentations from members, who expressed their dedication and responsibility in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values.
On the occasion of the anniversary celebration, the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Board announced the decision to award Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to one collective and five individuals for their outstanding achievements in the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values; awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association; and Certificates of Commendation from the Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism... to individuals and collectives of the Association.
