On June 17, Lam Dong Provincial Police coordinated with the Department of Education and Training to clarify methods and identify cheating tricks in exams using high-tech equipment.
More than 300 heads and deputy heads of examination sites, inspectors, invigilators, and secretaries of examination sites in Lam Dong province were informed by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Nguyen Viet Tien, Deputy Head of the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police on how to identify and prevent high-tech devices that can be used to cheat in the upcoming national high school exam.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Nguyen Viet Tien, cheating on exams using high-tech devices is becoming increasingly sophisticated, and can be disguised as common objects, such as ATM cards, pens, watches, glasses, belts, etc. Therefore, identifying, detecting and handling violations in exams must be given top priority to ensure a safe and serious national exam.
Recently, the Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Department of Lam Dong Provincial Police discovered a number of pages, associations, and closed groups selling high-tech devices used for cheating in exams with very sophisticated designs, diverse types, and super small sizes.

Compared to the past, the use of high technology in exam cheating has become more complicated. Virtual assistant tools and artificial intelligence (AI technology, Chat GPT...) have appeared that can gather and answer information extremely quickly and with high accuracy. The police have also discovered the trick of using artificial intelligence (AI) technology attached to shoe soles to film exam questions, using AI to solve questions, and cheating in exams.
Lam Dong Provincial Police also thoroughly implemented regulations on protecting state secrets in the field ofeducation and training, emphasizing that the exam questions and answers of the national high school graduation exam, when not yet made public, are classified as “TOP SECRET” state secrets. The acts of collecting, taking photos, and posting exam questions and answers on the internet when not yet made public are violations of the law and can be subject to criminal prosecution.
