Spreading meaningful actions for the community.

Việt NamViệt Nam24/03/2025

Following President Ho Chi Minh's example, many individuals and organizations in the province are maintaining good deeds and beautiful actions for the community. Through these actions, they demonstrate the spirit of sharing, love, mutual support, and striving together for a better society.

The "Red Blood Drop of the Mining Region" Club collaborated to organize the "Clean Water for Schools - Gifts for Children" program at Dong Mo School (Cam Pha City).

The Dong Mo school (Mong Duong ward, Cam Pha city) is home to 178 students from Mong Duong Kindergarten, Nguyen Trai Primary School, and Mong Duong Secondary School, most of whom are ethnic minorities. The school has a well for drinking water and sanitation, but the water supply is insufficient during the dry season. Understanding this, the "Red Blood Drop of the Mining Land" Club, in collaboration with the Youth Union and Women's Association of Dong Bac Coal Processing and Transportation Joint Stock Company (Dong Bac Corporation), Van Don Volunteer Group, Quang Yen Charity Group, and other benefactors, organized the charitable program "Clean Water for Schools - Gifts for Children".

Ms. Dao Thi Duyen, representing the club, said: "The members have invested in nearly 4,000 meters of water pipes, one water pump, participated in installing a water pipeline from the mountain stream to the school, improved the drainage system, and donated 50 gift packages, each containing a carton of milk and five coloring books, to the students. The total value of the program is 28.1 million VND. The club hopes to contribute to providing the students of the school with a better learning and living environment."

The "Red Blood Drop of the Mining Region" Club regularly maintains its voluntary blood donation activities. Every year, the club collaborates with the Cam Pha City Youth Union and hospitals to organize two centralized blood donation events. To date, club members have donated over 2,000 units of blood to the following hospitals: Cam Pha General Hospital, Cam Pha Regional General Hospital, Provincial General Hospital, and Bai Chay Hospital.

The "Beloved Quang Ninh " charity group donated 20 gift packages to the Association of the Blind in Mong Cai City.

With members of diverse ages and occupations, the beloved Quang Ninh Charity Group has, over the past 13 years, carried out numerous charitable activities for the poor. Through the Provincial Association for the Protection of Disabled People and Orphans, the Group has supported the construction of dozens of houses for poor families with disabled people and orphans in difficult circumstances, sponsored orphaned students, donated clothes, books, school supplies, and teaching equipment, and organized Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations for disabled and orphaned students in boarding schools in disadvantaged areas. Since the beginning of 2025, the Group has implemented many meaningful activities such as: mobilizing and contributing funds to donate 40 gift packages to disabled people and orphans in Hai Ha district and Mong Cai city; visiting and giving gifts to 5 orphans in Cam Pha city… with a total cost of nearly 100 million VND.

The "Humanitarian Porridge Pots" initiative is expanding. This charitable activity is sustained by the efforts and funding of many organizations and individuals, aiming to share some of the difficulties faced by patients receiving treatment at medical facilities in the province. At the Provincial General Hospital, 30 members of the Thien Tam Porridge Group (Ha Long City) have maintained the "Humanitarian Porridge Pot" activity since 2017. Every Tuesday at 5:00 AM, the group distributes approximately 250 servings of porridge to underprivileged patients receiving treatment at the hospital. Ms. Nguyen Thi Lien, the group leader, said: "The group always strives to ensure that the porridge for patients is of high quality and delicious. The group also calls for donations to help underprivileged patients during Tet (Lunar New Year) and to provide gifts to people in disadvantaged areas both within and outside the province."

The meaningful and humane actions of individuals and organizations have empowered and motivated those in difficult circumstances to rise above their challenges and move towards a brighter future.
