Over the past period, the TBI Institute has collaborated closely with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance ), and Industry and Trade in areas such as enhancing economic diplomacy capacity, promoting investment and trade cooperation with international partners, developing an international financial center in Vietnam, and promoting investment.
Specifically, the TBI Institute has supported the Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance) in several key areas, including: developing a report on the current situation and strategies for attracting and promoting high-quality foreign investment in the electronics sector; and researching models for international and regional financial centers to support the development and implementation of the International Financial Center Project in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh thanked Mr. Tony Blair for his very practical contributions during his time as Prime Minister of the UK to fostering and developing the good cooperative relationship in various fields between Vietnam and the UK over the past time.
Tony Blair personally, as well as TBI, has effectively collaborated with and supported Vietnamese ministries and agencies in the economic sector, as well as in tasks related to the development and implementation of the International and Regional Financial Center Project in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang.

Given the volatile regional and global situation, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his hope that Mr. Tony Blair, with his international prestige, capabilities, and experience, as well as that of TBI, would continue to advise Vietnam on policy planning for development, changing the mindset in lawmaking, building policy mechanisms, ensuring a transparent and friendly environment for investors, especially attracting investors in emerging fields such as green economy, renewable energy, AI, and semiconductor chips.
Tony Blair emphasized that the profound changes in the global geoeconomic and geopolitical landscape present both challenges and opportunities. Countries need to maximize these opportunities to achieve development goals and minimize negative impacts.
Given the economic achievements already made, along with the potential for cooperation and attractiveness to foreign investors, Mr. Tony Blair believes that establishing international financial centers in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang is a very wise decision, strongly supporting Vietnam's development process and opening up many new opportunities and prospects for cooperation.
Mr. Tony Blair affirmed that he will continue to provide active and extensive support and collaborate with Vietnamese authorities in the establishment and operation of the International Financial Center as well as other economic activities.
