Coach Kim Sang-sik said that the U.22 Vietnam team had concluded an important training period in Vung Tau, in the context that many players gathered late due to the tight competition schedule. However, the whole team still maintained a good amount of physical and tactical training, ready to enter the opening match which was pushed up to December 3 - one day earlier than planned. The Korean coach shared the feeling of nervousness and excitement when leading the U.22 Vietnam team for the first time at the SEA Games, and affirmed that the team will do their best to achieve the goal.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan acknowledged the efforts of the teams throughout the preparation period, and reviewed the outstanding achievements of Vietnamese football in 2025. By the time of the meeting, five teams had qualified for the 2026 Asian Finals. By the evening of November 30, the 4-0 victory of the Vietnam U17 team over Malaysia in the 2026 Asian U17 qualifiers helped Vietnamese football have its sixth representative in the continental arena, after the national women's team, the national U23 team, the national men's futsal team and the national women's U20 team. VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan emphasized that this is an important foundation for the strategy towards the World Cup, as the Asian Finals is a stepping stone for the teams to compete and accumulate top-level experience.

VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan also noted the challenges at the 33rd SEA Games, including the naturalization trend of many teams in the region, requiring the coaching staff and players to carefully study their opponents, maintain focus and professionalism. The players were reminded to always be ambassadors of the image of Vietnamese football, to compete fiercely but to uphold the spirit of fair play and solidarity.
VFF expects the U.23 Vietnam team, the Vietnam women's team and the women's futsal team to participate in the finals of the 33rd SEA Games, while the men's futsal team has set the highest goal of changing the color of the medal after many bronze medals. With careful preparation and determination, VFF leaders believe that the teams will bring worthy performances, dedicate to the fans and continue to affirm the position of Vietnamese football in the region.
