20 outstanding individuals nominated for the 2025 Golden Globe Awards for Science and Technology.
The 2025 Golden Globe Science and Technology Award attracted a significant number of applications, representing a substantial increase (nearly 34%) compared to the previous year. Of these, 83 were deemed valid, an increase of 21 compared to the 62 applications in 2024. Applications were accepted from May 26th, 2025 to August 1st, 2025, from 41 agencies, organizations, universities, research institutes, and businesses nationwide, as well as from the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association abroad.

This year's applications were assessed as relatively good and consistent across categories such as patents, utility models, publications in domestic and international journals and conferences, and practical applications. Most applications were well-prepared, complete, clear, and showed a clear differentiation by field. The significant increase in the number of high-quality applications from candidates working in countries with advanced science and technology such as the United States, France, Sweden, and South Korea demonstrates that the participants in the Award are well-integrated and possess strong expertise and practical experience.

In terms of education, this year's candidates include 61 PhDs, 17 Master's degree holders, and 5 Bachelor's degree holders. 26 candidates (31.3%) are studying, working, and conducting research abroad in countries such as Japan, France, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, the UK, China, Austria, the US, and Australia. The youngest candidate, born in 2005 (20 years old), is in the field of new materials technology. Additionally, 22 out of 83 applications are from candidates who have previously participated in the Award; of these, 4 have participated consecutively from 2023-2025, and 8 have previously been among the top 20. This affirms the prestigious status of the Award and the determination of young Vietnamese scientists to pursue their long-term research goals.

In particular, the information technology, digital transformation, and automation sector had 25 valid applications, a significant increase compared to 2024, with a diverse range of industries and workplaces, and generally better quality applications than the previous year.
