Long An holds meeting of Internal Affairs agencies in the first quarter of 2025

On the afternoon of April 2nd, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Thanh Hai, chaired a meeting of the Internal Affairs Bloc agencies to review the first quarter and implement tasks for the second quarter of 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, the agencies of the Internal Affairs Bloc effectively performed their assigned functions and tasks, strictly controlling the border, strengthening internal political security, maintaining national defense stability, and making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the province. In particular, the sectors within the Bloc successfully implemented the dual objective of both reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus in accordance with the directives of the Central Government and the province, while simultaneously carrying out their professional duties, especially the Police, Customs, and Market Management sectors.

At the conference, the sectors within the bloc also analyzed and clarified the causes and proposed solutions to overcome shortcomings and limitations in several areas such as complaints and denunciations; case resolution rate; enforcement of judgments, etc.

Concluding the conference, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Nguyen Thanh Hai, requested that in the second quarter, the agencies in the Internal Affairs Bloc coordinate more closely to improve the quality of handling investigation, inspection, and supervision cases. In addition, the agencies need to have a firm grasp of the situation and promptly advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Board on leading the effective implementation of maintaining security, order, and social safety, in conjunction with organizational restructuring; and continue to prevent and combat corruption, negative practices, waste, and all types of crime, especially drug-related crimes…
