Major General Le Quang Tuyen, Deputy Head of the General Department of Defense Industry, said that the exhibition aims to strengthen and expand international cooperation and defense diplomacy, build trust between Vietnam and countries around the world ; strengthen international cooperation in defense industry, diversify cooperation channels in purchasing, receiving, and transferring technology to produce technical equipment and logistics equipment to meet the requirements of armed forces.

In addition, it also aims to study the development trends of weapons and technical equipment in the world to propose, select, purchase, produce, and improve weapons and equipment for the army...

There are currently 42 official delegations registered to visit Vietnam and attend the exhibition. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the opening ceremony, deliver a speech and tour the exhibition.

Vietnam Air Force will fly in to welcome; Vietnam Border Guard commandos and military dogs will perform to welcome the exhibition.

People visit the exhibition from 1:00 p.m. on December 21 to December 22.

Domestic and international defense companies are showcasing and introducing combat vehicles, technological solutions, weapons, and equipment used by the Navy, Army, Air Defense - Air Force, cyber warfare, and logistical and technical equipment.

Major General Le Quang Tuyen said that Vietnamese products displayed and introduced at the exhibition include products researched and manufactured by agencies and units such as: General Department of Defense Industry, Air Defense - Air Force, Navy, Military Technical Academy, Vietnam - Russia Tropical Center, Armored Corps, Chemical Corps, Military Science and Technology Institute, Military Industry - Telecommunications Group and trade and service companies of the Ministry of National Defense.

The exhibition area covers a total of over 100,000 square meters, with 15,000 square meters of indoor display space and over 20,000 square meters of outdoor space.

To date, nearly 200 domestic and international companies and businesses from 27 countries such as Russia, the UK, France, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Finland, Belarus, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Turkey, India, Iran, Japan, South Korea, China, Israel, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia, the UAE, and the USA have registered for exhibition booths at the exhibition.

In 2022, the first Vietnam International Defense Exhibition received the attention, support and participation of a large number of management agencies and international and domestic delegates, with an indoor and outdoor exhibition scale of about 25,000m2; 175 participating companies from 31 countries; 6 national pavilions; 25,000 professional visitors; 300 domestic delegations; 52 international delegations.

Within the framework of the event, 80 bilateral meetings and 15 technical presentations took place.

Fields of display at the exhibition:

Air defense and air force systems and equipment: fighter jets, helicopters, drones, artillery systems, air defense missiles...

Naval systems and equipment: submarines, warships, unmanned vessels, support vessels, reconnaissance and underwater observation equipment, torpedoes, mines, surface-to-sea missiles, sea-to-sea missiles.

Army systems and equipment: infantry weapons, firepower weapons, self-propelled artillery, ground artillery, tanks, armored vehicles...

Security systems and equipment: biometrics, anti-terrorism and internal state security systems, cyber security crime prevention systems, lethal weapons.

The 2nd Vietnam International Defense Exhibition will take place from December 19-22 at Gia Lam Airport (Hanoi). There will be 1.5 days of free admission for people of all ages.
