On October 9, Meta said that the Meta AI feature set is available in countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines and the UK, and some other countries such as Vietnam will be deployed in the coming weeks.
Accordingly, Meta AI will support interactions in Vietnamese, integrated within Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger. Users just need to touch the Meta AI icon or type "@MetaAI" in a group chat to use, or through the website meta.ai.
First rolled out in the US and more than 20 markets in July, Meta AI functions as a chatbot similar to ChatGPT but uses a large language model called LLaMA. Users can chat with the chatbot on a variety of topics. The AI also allows users to dig into details about a post they see on Facebook or Instagram.
With 21 new markets (including Vietnam), this feature set has marked its presence in 43 countries and territories and supports dozens of native languages.
