On October 9th, Meta announced that the Meta AI feature set is now available in countries such as Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the UK, with further rollout to other countries like Vietnam in the coming weeks.
Accordingly, Meta AI will support interaction in Vietnamese, integrated into Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users simply need to tap the Meta AI icon or type "@MetaAI" into a group chat to use it, or through the website meta.ai.
First launched in the US and over 20 markets in July, Meta AI operates as a chatbot similar to ChatGPT but uses the Large Language Modeling (LLaMA). Users can chat with the chatbot about a variety of topics. The AI also allows users to learn detailed information about a post they see on Facebook or Instagram.
With 21 new markets (including Vietnam), this feature set now marks its presence in 43 countries and territories, supporting dozens of native languages.
