Lam Dong : Opening of the 2025 International Tea Festival
In his opening speech, Mr. Mori Kazuki - General Director of Lam Dong Tea Joint Stock Company said that throughout history, tea has contributed to creating spaces for dialogue, a symbol of understanding and friendship beyond national boundaries. This is a common cultural heritage that humanity has together preserved.

However, today, these values are no longer preserved as naturally as before. Climate change, rural depopulation, the departure of young people from agriculture, and the changes of the times are causing tea culture, tea knowledge, and the connecting power of tea to gradually fade away.
Therefore, this forum is an extremely valuable opportunity not only for Vietnam but also for the international community.
“We, the people living in this era, have the responsibility to continue, recreate and pass on the value of tea in a way that is suitable for the future. That requires us to delicately convey the best of tea; preserve and pass on tea culture to future generations; create an environment where tea makers can live well and be happy both materially and spiritually.
As these efforts are implemented, I believe that tea will continue to be a bridge that brings health, culture, dialogue, education and prosperity to communities, “Opening the way to a better and more sustainable future,” Mr. Mori Kazuki emphasized.

Within the framework of the program, there will also be discussion sessions, providing multi-dimensional perspectives from culture, economics to in-depth research, contributing to shaping the development strategy of the Vietnamese tea industry in the coming time.
