A district in Hanoi needs to recruit 19 deputy principals and 210 permanent teachers.

The People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, has just announced the recruitment examination for leadership and management positions in its affiliated agencies and units in 2024.

According to the announcement, the district needs to recruit 19 deputy principals for 17 schools from kindergarten to junior high school, including: My Dinh 2 Junior High School; Phu Do Junior High School; Trung Van Junior High School; Dai Mo Junior High School; Nguyen Quy Duc Junior High School; Xuan Phuong Junior High School; Cau Dien Junior High School; Nguyen Du Junior High School; Phuong Canh Junior High School (2 positions); Ly Nam De Junior High School (2 positions); Phu Do Primary School; Me Tri Primary School; Nguyen Quy Duc Primary School; Xuan Phuong Primary School; Cau Dien Primary School; Phu Do Kindergarten; My Dinh 1 Kindergarten.

In addition, the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District also announced the recruitment of 243 permanent teachers and staff for schools.

Specifically, the district needs to recruit 210 teachers, including 23 preschool teachers, 51 primary school teachers, and 136 secondary school teachers, mostly focusing on new subjects in the 2018 general education curriculum such as History and Geography, Natural Sciences, and Arts... the remaining positions are for accounting, medical, and laboratory equipment staff.

The recruitment process consists of two rounds. Round 1 involves a general knowledge test using a computer-based multiple-choice format. Round 2 is an oral interview on specialized professional skills.

Interested candidates should note that application forms can be submitted at the Department of Internal Affairs, Nam Tu Liem District People's Committee headquarters. The application period runs from September 16th to October 4th.

Teacher shortages have been a long-standing problem in Hanoi. As the locality with the largest education system in the country, boasting nearly 2.3 million students and almost 133,000 teachers, Hanoi's teaching staff is short of the quota set by the Ministry of Education and Training by 16,004 people.
