Due to heavy rain that lasted from the night of July 13 to the morning of July 14, a landslide occurred on the road leading to Seo Can Ho village, Si Ma Cai commune, Lao Cai province, causing the road surface to turn into mud and become slippery.

According to information from the People's Committee of Coc San commune, heavy rains from July 11 to 13 caused a lot of damage to the locality and posed a potential danger to 19 households in the villages.

Coc San commune leaders directly inspected the area at risk of landslides.

Specifically, heavy rain caused soil to overflow and crack a house in Lao Vang Chai village; and collapsed a house in Ta Ho village (fortunately there were no casualties).

Also in Ta Ho village, a long crack appeared, with a high risk of landslides, affecting 17 households living around the area (during rainy days, these households were temporarily moved to a safe location).

In Gian Thang village, heavy rain flooded National Highway 4D, causing traffic congestion (morning of July 12).

Ky Cong Ho village has many buried longitudinal ditches causing water to overflow onto the road surface, causing landslides, drifting, and damage to the road surface for about 100 meters.

Luong Lao 2 village has a landslide that prevents cars from passing through; some main roads in Ky Cong Ho and Lao Vang Chai villages have landslides on the positive slope, negative slope, and road surface, affecting people's travel...

National Highway 4D through Coc San commune was flooded, causing local traffic congestion on the morning of July 12.

Regarding damage to agricultural production, the Commune People's Committee will continue to inspect, review, and compile statistics on damage, proactively use reserve budget sources to support households affected by natural disasters; continue to direct departments and organizations to coordinate with village chiefs to regularly inspect and monitor landslide risk points, overflows, and houses located in disaster risk areas in the area to take preventive measures to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

* Simacai Commune: Landslides make it difficult for people to move on the road to Seo Can Ho village

Due to heavy rain that lasted from the night of July 13 to the morning of July 14, a landslide occurred on the road leading to Seo Can Ho village, Si Ma Cai commune, Lao Cai province, causing the road surface to turn into mud and become slippery.

Mud covers the road surface, creating deep holes and many obstacles, forcing people to move along the narrow edge of the road, posing a potential safety risk.

Heavy rain made the road to Seo Can Ho village difficult to travel due to large amounts of mud and soil spilling onto the road surface.

Local authorities quickly mobilized local forces to initially clear mud and create temporary paths for people. However, the route is still very difficult to travel due to weak ground and large amounts of mud.

According to the weather forecast, in the coming days, Si Ma Cai will still have scattered rain, with a high risk of landslides. Local authorities recommend that people be vigilant, limit travel on highland roads during heavy rain, proactively monitor warning information and follow the instructions of authorities to ensure safety of life and property.
