The United States and its European allies recognize the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people and support justice and freedom for both Israelis and Palestinians.
The joint statement emphasized that in the coming days, as allies of Israel, these countries will continue to coordinate and unite to ensure Israel's ability to defend itself and ultimately to create conditions for a peaceful and integrated Middle East region.
Iran denies being behind the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declared that Iran was not involved in the weekend attack by Hamas on Israel, but called it an "irreparable" military and intelligence failure for Israel.
On the same day, Hamas's top commander, Ali Barakeh, also declared that, contrary to news reports, Iran was not involved in planning or encouraging attacks on Israel. Hamas stated that the attack had been planned for a year.
According to Hamas leader Ali Barakeh, Hamas has been producing its own missiles and training its fighters since the 2014 Gaza war without support from Iran or Hezbollah.
Russia wants to play a role in resolving the Israel-Gazette conflict.
Also on October 10, Russia stated that it was in contact with both Israel and Palestine and would seek to play a role in resolving the conflict between the two sides. The Kremlin emphasized Russia's influence with both sides.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Russia has long-standing historical ties with the Palestinians, and also shares "many things in common" with Israel, including many Israelis of Russian descent. Russia expressed concern that the violence could escalate into a wider conflict in the Middle East.
Russia is trying to determine if any Russians are among the hostages held by Hamas. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov also rejected the notion that Russia would benefit from a war breaking out in the Middle East, given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
