In 2023, Quang Tri province was assigned by the Government and the Ministry of National Defense to select and call up 950 citizens to join the army. Despite many difficulties, the province's military recruitment work has achieved quality, ensuring 100% of the military recruitment target.

In 2024, Quang Tri province was assigned the target and selected 1,000 citizens to participate in military service at the following units: General Department of Engineering, Provincial Border Guard Command (under the Ministry of National Defense); Special Forces Brigade 198 (under the Special Forces Corps); Military School, Division 324, Information Brigade 80 (under Military Region 4) and Quang Tri Provincial Military Command.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and proposing measures to conduct military recruitment seriously, strictly, and in accordance with procedures, focusing on the registration, management, re-examination, review, and approval stages to ensure democracy and transparency, following the motto "whoever is recruited, that person is guaranteed". After completing the medical examination, localities will conduct infiltration, finalize the number of troops, and issue orders to call citizens to join the army within the prescribed time.

The organization coordinates with the military units receiving the soldiers to do a good job of propaganda, synchronously implements all stages, is determined to achieve targets, has no cases of compensation, and organizes the military handover ceremony quickly and safely.

According to the plan, localities in Quang Tri province will finalize the military numbers before January 20, 2024, issue military enlistment orders before February 5, 2024, and organize the military handover ceremony on February 26, 2024.
