Jeon Heesu (32 years old, from South Korea) recently traveled to Vietnam, visiting many famous destinations such as Hanoi, Lao Cai, and Ha Giang (now Tuyen Quang).
Among those destinations, Ha Giang is the place she most hopes to visit to experience the "Ha Giang Loop" – a route selected by the SCMP and included in the "Top 5 Best Cycling Routes in Asia in 2024".
The route is approximately 350 km long, starting from Quan Ba, passing through Yen Minh, up to Dong Van, to Meo Vac, and then returning to the starting point. Despite numerous high mountain passes, deep ravines, and sharp bends, this journey still attracts a large number of travel enthusiasts.

Heesu rented a motorbike and drove it himself to conquer some of the roads in Ha Giang.
Attracted by the allure of this destination, Heesu contacted a travel agency on Nguyen Trai Street, Ha Giang 1 Ward (formerly Ha Giang City) to rent a motorbike. She planned to spend 3 days and 2 nights there and explore the famous "golden route" by motorbike.
However, on the very first day, about 50 km from the city center, Heesu unexpectedly had an accident. Both she and her bike fell into a ditch by the roadside, her clothes and hair covered in dirt, looking as if crushed fruits and vegetables had splattered on her.
“I don’t know what happened. It felt like the truck just went by and something fell and hit me. Or maybe something fell from the sky?” – Heesu asked, bewildered.

The South Korean tourist was bewildered by the unexpected incident.
In her confusion, she was fortunate to be spotted by some local residents who immediately came to inquire about her situation and offer assistance.
The two men pulled the motorcycle to the side of the road, and a nearby woman invited Heesu to her home, helped her wash her face and hair, and changed her into clean clothes. They also carefully inquired about her injuries and health problems.

Local residents quickly came to the aid of the young woman, helping her deal with the incident.

The young man from Ha Giang invited Heesu to his restaurant for a free lunch.
After the incident, although the car wasn't severely damaged and he only suffered minor scratches, Heesu decided to return to the rental shop, temporarily halting his exploration plans.
She expressed regret that the trip was cut short, but felt compensated by the care and love she received from everyone around her.
The car rental company also assisted the customer with vehicle repairs, arranged overnight accommodation, and invited her to a cozy evening party.

Korean YouTuber emotionally expresses gratitude to local residents.
Speaking to VietNamNet reporters, a representative of the travel agency where Heesu rented the car confirmed that the female tourist was involved in an accident while visiting Ha Giang at the end of July.
Heesu had booked a motorbike rental for three days, but due to an unexpected incident on the first day, she had to turn back, postponing her plans to explore the rocky plateau and the famous loop.
“Heesu was driving alone and unfortunately had an accident on the way. When she returned to us, she had minor scrapes on her legs, and the car was damaged in the mirror and fender.”
"At that time, the guest was quite anxious and wanted to take a taxi back to Hanoi immediately. However, we reassured her, helped her find accommodation for the night, and invited her to join the evening party with the whole group," the representative said.

The young woman enjoyed a warm evening before leaving Ha Giang for South Korea.
Following the incident, Heesu revealed on her personal YouTube channel, which has over 67,000 followers, that her health is stable and she feels fortunate not to have suffered any serious injuries.
The South Korean female tourist expressed her gratitude to the local people who assisted her in that unfortunate situation and expressed her wish to return to Ha Giang to visit and conquer the famous loop road.
