Upon arriving in Nghia Dan ( Nghe An province ), we are amazed by the sight of a vast dairy farm spanning 5,000 hectares of fertile red basalt soil, with natural water sources from the large Sao River lake. This is a model of a concentrated dairy farm, applying the most advanced high technology currently available in dairy farming and agricultural production. With nearly 70,000 dairy cows, it was recognized as the world's largest cluster of high-tech, closed-loop production farms in 2020.
Vietnam.vn is pleased to present to you photographs of this dairy farm through the photo series "A New Day on Vietnam's Largest Dairy Farm" by author Nguyen Tien Anh Tuan. The author submitted this series to the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest, organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications .
The project, implemented nearly 15 years ago in Nghia Dan district, has contributed to the rapid transformation of this western region of Nghe An province, bringing a more prosperous life to the local people.
The red basalt soil of Nghia Dan has undergone a dramatic transformation, with lush green meadows stretching across hundreds of hectares, and vast fields of corn and sorghum... Modern, integrated systems for sowing, fertilizing, and harvesting, and irrigation systems extending over 500 meters, are reminiscent of those in America or Europe.
Local farmers have experienced a "transformation" and gradually improved their economic situation and family lives. From those who toiled day after day, bending their backs to work in the fields, they have now been given the opportunity to embrace technology, donning the attire of engineers and skilled workers to build and develop the economy on their own land.
Joy and bright smiles always shine on the faces of the staff and workers on the farm as they enthusiastically engage in production. Each person is contributing to the overall development towards a circular economy, a green economy, and clean, organic agriculture, on the path to sustainable development that not only Vietnam but the whole world is striving for.
In 2024, the "Happy Vietnam" photo and video contest continued to be organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists on the website. https://happy.vietnam.vn is open to all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners aged 15 and above. The competition aims to honor individuals and groups with positive informational products that make practical contributions to promoting a beautiful image of Vietnam to the world. Through this, it helps people at home, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends access authentic images of Vietnam, its people, its achievements in ensuring human rights, and working towards a happy Vietnam.
Each contest category (photo and video) has the following prizes and prize values:
– 1 Gold Medal: 70,000,000 VND
