* On the morning of December 12th, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy attended and directed the conference to review the performance of the collective and individuals of the Vinh City Party Standing Committee in 2023.

* On the morning of December 12th, the People's Committee of Nghe An province held a meeting with the National Power Transmission Corporation to discuss the investment preparation situation and propose solutions to accelerate the progress of forest land use conversion and compensation for land clearance for 500kV power line projects passing through Nghe An province.

* On the afternoon of December 12th, the Appraisal Council unanimously approved the planning document for the North Central and Central Coastal regions for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, and the draft appraisal report, subject to revisions, additions, and incorporation of feedback.

* On the morning of December 12th, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee organized a provincial-level scientific conference with the theme: “Building a team of cadres at all levels, especially key cadres and leaders, in conjunction with the reform and restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective, and efficient in the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.”

* During a meeting with constituents on the morning of December 12th, National Assembly representative Vo Thi Minh Sinh informed that the National Assembly had given its opinion on the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended) regarding reducing the age for receiving support benefits for the elderly from 80 to 75 and increasing the monthly support amount compared to current regulations.

* The groundbreaking ceremony for Phase 1 of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Cultural Center, invested by the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, took place on the morning of December 12th. The total investment for the project is 103.7 billion VND, of which 39.1 billion VND comes from the central government budget; 25.5 billion VND from the Nghe An Provincial People's Committee budget; and 39.1 billion VND from the Trade Union's finances.
