According to our findings, this project has a total planned area of 750 hectares, with land acquisition taking place in Hung Tay, Hung Dao communes, Hung Nguyen town in Hung Nguyen district, and Hung Chinh commune in Vinh city. To date, land clearance has been largely completed; however, some households have yet to receive compensation, affecting the overall progress of the project and creating a negative image that impacts investment attraction in the province.

* While in rural districts, disposing of pigs infected with African swine fever is relatively easy due to available land, in Vinh City, disposing of diseased pigs in an environmentally sound manner and away from densely populated areas is not an easy task.
According to statistics from the Vinh City Agricultural Service Center, just two months after the first outbreak, by November 25th, eight localities in the city had reported African swine fever cases, mainly concentrated in suburban communes including Hung Chinh, Nghi An, Nghi Duc, Nghi Kim, Nghi Lien, Hung Hoa, Hung Loc, and Dong Vinh ward. A total of 322 pigs, weighing over 21 tons, had to be culled. Given the rapid spread of the disease, Vinh City has issued directives to wards, communes, livestock farmers, and businesses to tighten disease prevention and control measures.
