Noble gesture towards flood victims

On the afternoon of November 12, in Hanoi , Mr. Vu Chi Hoa, Deputy Head of the Movement Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, received support for people in the Northern provinces to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 from the family of writer and journalist Nguyet Tu (wife of the late National Assembly Chairman, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Le Quang Dao) in the amount of 100 million VND.

Presenting the donation to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang, the eldest son of the late National Assembly Chairman and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Le Quang Dao, said that this amount of money was a condolence for Writer and Journalist Nguyet Tu. According to the will of Writer and Journalist Nguyet Tu, her family wanted to contribute to social activities. In the face of the damage caused by storm No. 3, the family donated this amount of money to the people of the Northern provinces, hoping to help them overcome difficulties soon.

“Our family hopes that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will give this money to the right address, directly to the people in need. This is also a practical thing to do so that we can later educate our children and grandchildren to continue the tradition of mutual love and support, and promote a sense of responsibility to the community,” Mr. Nguyen Quang Thang shared.

Sincerely thanking the noble gesture of the family of writer and journalist Nguyet Tu, Mr. Vu Chi Hoa, Deputy Head of the Movement Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, said that the late Chairman of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Le Quang Dao and writer and journalist Nguyet Tu had made many great contributions to the country, in the work of the Front and the cause of great national unity. Now the family continues to devote their hearts to the people in the flood-affected areas, which has a profound humanistic meaning not only in terms of material but also as a great source of encouragement to help people quickly overcome the damage after the storm and rebuild their lives.

Mr. Vu Chi Hoa pledged that the donated money will be used by the Central Committee for Relief Mobilization (Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front) for the right purposes, requirements and publicly in accordance with the provisions of law, and allocated promptly, transparently, to the right people, at the right addresses in the localities affected by storm No. 3.
