On the afternoon of November 16th, Da Nang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, along with leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of the Hoa Vang District Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; and the Hoa Bac Commune Party Committee and People's Committee, attended and celebrated the National Unity Day in Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages – areas with a large population of Co Tu ethnic people.

According to the report of the Front Committee of Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages at the festival, both villages currently have 284 households with 967 inhabitants, of which 254 households are from the Co Tu ethnic group.

To date, both villages have completed the targets assigned by higher authorities for 2024, and have been recognized as cultural villages with 274 out of 284 households achieving the title of cultural family, reaching a rate of 96%. Seven households have escaped poverty, and 100% of students attend school at the appropriate age, with no students dropping out...



The great national unity is maintained, the close relationship and trust of the Co Tu people in Hoa Bac commune with the Party and the State are constantly consolidated and strengthened, and many outstanding collective and individual examples have been achieved in implementing campaigns and emulation movements, such as: the Front Committee of the two villages, village elder Dinh Van Sieng, Mr. Dinh Van Hin, Ms. Bui Thi Hanh….

Speaking at the event, Da Nang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang affirmed: For many years, the National Unity Day has become a beautiful tradition in residential areas of Da Nang.
Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang expressed his delight at the daily improvements in the lives of the people in Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages… Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages have effectively promoted the spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and assistance in life, strictly adhering to the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, and local regulations. They have demonstrated the responsibility, devotion, and trust of the Co Tu people in the Party, the State, and the city, highlighted by models such as: "Co Tu people worshiping President Ho Chi Minh's portrait to remember his teachings," "Reputable Co Tu people protecting the border area," and "Residential areas adorned with red flags during festivals"…
At the Second Conference to Commend Representatives of Ethnic Minorities in Da Nang City on November 15, 2024, the Committee for Ethnic Minorities and the People's Committee of Da Nang City commended 10 collectives and 49 individuals, including 6 individuals of the Co Tu ethnic group living in Hoa Bac commune and the collectives of Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages.

Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang requested that Party Committees, governments, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations of Da Nang city and Hoa Vang district focus on implementing tasks such as: building "self-governing, united, prosperous, and happy" villages; model villages with developed economies , civilized, cultured, secure, and safe, where everyone and every family enjoys a prosperous and happy life. This is also a key content in the Action Program of the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2024-2029 term.
Da Nang City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quang urged the Hoa Bac commune government (Hoa Vang district) to focus on successfully implementing the breakthrough program of the term: "Developing rural tourism economy associated with building new rural areas, turning Hoa Bac into an eco-tourism and community-based commune" in order to further improve the quality of life for the people, including nearly 300 Co Tu ethnic minority households in Ta Lang and Gian Bi villages.
