SEA Games 33 Diary, December 11th: The Vietnamese Sports Delegation Wins 14 Gold Medals

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - On today's competition day (December 11th), the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won 10 more gold medals in Karate, Taekwondo, Gymnastics, Ju-jitsu, Judo, Athletics, and Swimming. On the overall medal table, the Vietnamese delegation has 14 gold medals.

HCV (10) : Nguyen Thi Phuong, Nguyen Ngoc Tram, Bui Ngoc Nhi, Hoang Thi Thu Uyen (Karate, women's team kata); Nguyen Hong Trong (Taekwondo, 54kg men); Dang Dinh Tung (Ju-jitsu-Ne-waza, 69kg men); Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien (Gymnastics, pommel horse); Nguyen Van Khanh Phong (Gymnastics, rings); Tran Quoc Cuong, Phan Minh Hanh (Judo, Nage-no-kata); Ho Trong Manh Hung (athletics, men's triple sprint), Bui Thi Ngan (athletics, women's 1500m); Pham Thanh Bao (swimming, men's 100m breaststroke); Men's 4 x 200m freestyle relay (swimming).

On the first day of competition, athletes from the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals, ranking 4th in the overall medal standings. The 4 gold medals were won by athletes in Canoeing, Taekwondo, swimming, and petanque.

On today's competition day (December 11th), athletes will participate in the qualifying and final rounds in many sports such as badminton, pétanque, baseball, 3x3 basketball, kayak and canoe racing, chess, etc. With many strong sports like swimming, athletics, boxing, judo, and jiu-jitsu... holding finals, the Vietnamese sports delegation can certainly aim to significantly increase the number of medals to improve its position on the overall medal table.
