On August 15th, a 30-year-old man surnamed Ling, residing in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, forced his three young children, all under the age of seven, to kneel in the middle of a busy road. His intention was to pressure his wife into returning home.

Local police quickly arrived and moved the three children to safety on the sidewalk. They also warned the father for endangering the children. A video of the incident went viral on Chinese social media, sparking intense debate in the country.

The footage shows that while the three children knelt in the middle of the road, facing danger from passing cars, their father sat calmly beside a potted plant by the roadside, observing the situation.

When questioned by the police, Ling stated that he couldn't contact his wife after they had an argument. Therefore, he forced his three children to kneel in the middle of the road so his wife would know what had happened and would have to return home quickly.

However, when the police contacted Ling's wife, she said she had decided to return to her hometown. For the time being, she would live separately from her husband and did not want any contact.

When the police told Ling his wife's answer, he quickly presented his plan to them. According to his plan, the very next day, Ling would take his three young children and leave Foshan City, returning to his hometown. In his hometown, he had relatives and family who would help him care for the children, allowing him to manage his work and immediate life.

Although Ling's family story has some disturbing aspects, ultimately, the online community could not sympathize with the father who toyed with his children's lives in such a way.

"It's heartbreaking that a man who has fathered three children doesn't know how to love, care for, and protect them. As parents, you should never use your children's safety to pressure your partner. The father's actions show signs of child abuse and violate children's right to safety," one netizen commented.

Another similar incident recently shocked the public when two children were forced by their mother to climb out of a 23rd-floor apartment window. The two children sat precariously on the outdoor air conditioner unit, suspended in mid-air, while their parents argued loudly. The incident occurred on October 10th in an apartment complex in Luoyang City, Henan Province, China.

Earlier, during an argument with her husband, in a fit of anger, the woman forced her two young children to perform dangerous acts. Her intention was to... provoke and "warn" her husband.

The little girl in the incident was so frightened that she burst into tears. Despite this, the mother of the two children stood by the window, arguing loudly with her husband, preventing him from approaching the children. The entire incident was recorded by residents of the apartment building.

Residents of the apartment complex quickly called the police. Rescue teams arrived at the scene with specialized equipment, in preparation for any potential complications or dangers.

In fact, when police arrived, the two children were quickly and safely brought inside the house through a window. Local police said they worked with the children's parents. However, details about how the incident was handled were not disclosed.

The local Women and Children's Association has received information about the incident and said it will place this family under its watchful eye.

On Chinese social media, the debate is heated. "More than anyone else, a mother should be the one to protect her child, but this mother used her child's safety to pressure her husband during an argument; she doesn't deserve to be a mother," one netizen commented.

"If you can't live together anymore, then get a divorce and set each other free. Adults living together like this only makes children suffer. This woman seems to have lost her mind; she's acting crazy and cruel. This act deserves legal punishment," another netizen commented.

Some people even criticized the father in this incident: "In such a situation, he could still continue arguing with his wife. He should have immediately lowered his voice, spoken gently to calm his agitated wife, and persuaded her to stop her dangerous actions. That's all that matters; both of them are terrible."
