On August 15, a 30-year-old man surnamed Ling, living in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, forced his three children under the age of 7 to kneel in the middle of a busy road. The man's purpose was to pressure his wife to return home.

Local police quickly arrived and brought the three children safely to the sidewalk. At the same time, the police also warned the father for endangering the children. The clip recording the incident spread on Chinese social media, causing fierce controversy among the public in the country of a billion people.

The recorded images show that while the three children were kneeling in the middle of the road and facing danger from passing cars, the father sat calmly next to a potted plant on the side of the road to observe the incident.

When working with the police, Ling said he could not contact his wife after the two had an argument. So Ling forced his three children to kneel in the middle of the road so that his wife would know what happened and quickly return home.

However, when police contacted Ling’s wife, she said she had decided to return to her hometown. She would be living separately from her husband for the time being and did not want any contact.

When the police informed Ling of his wife's answer, the man quickly presented his plan to the police. Accordingly, the next day, Ling took his three children and left Foshan City, returning to his hometown to live. In his hometown, Ling still had relatives and family who would help him take care of the children, and he would be able to handle his work and life ahead.

Although Ling's family story has some troubling aspects, in the end, the online community still cannot sympathize with a father who would joke with his children's lives like that.

Another similar incident recently shocked the public when two children were forced by their mother to climb out of the window of an apartment on the 23rd floor. The two children sat precariously on the air conditioner outside the window, suspended in mid-air while their parents argued loudly. The incident happened on October 10 at an apartment complex in Luoyang City, Henan Province, China.

Previously, during an argument with her husband, out of anger, the woman forced her two young children to perform dangerous actions. Her purpose was to... provoke and "warn" her husband.

Residents in the apartment building quickly called the police. Rescue forces were present at the scene with specialized equipment, in case of complicated and dangerous situations that could occur.

In fact, when police arrived, the two children were quickly brought safely into the house through a window. Local police said they were working with the parents. However, details of how the incident was handled were not disclosed.

The local Women and Children's Association has received information about the incident and said it will put this family on a watch list.
