People's Artist Ngoc Giau shared a photo commemorating Christmas with renowned singer Hoai Thanh.

The top photo was taken on the morning of December 24th, while the bottom photo is from over 30 years ago, featuring People's Artist Ngoc Giau and renowned singer Hoai Thanh in the play "Kim Van Kieu".

She showed off a photo of the filming of the opera "Kim Van Kieu" more than 30 years ago, when she played the role of Hoan Thu and famous singer Hoai Thanh played the role of Thuc Sinh. "And on Christmas Day this year, we reunited to do charity work together. Every year when Hoai Thanh and Do Quyen return to the country, they participate in giving gifts to orphans, and I also enthusiastically participate. When senior artists meet again, they talk about old stories. The most memorable are the roles of a lifetime" - People's Artist Ngoc Giau shared.

She recounted emotionally: "I sang traditional Vietnamese songs in duets with the students at the Hoc Mon Continuing Education Center. One student even cried as she told me that every year on the evening of December 24th, after celebrating Christmas with her friends, she gets to go home to reunite with her family on the morning of December 25th, and then a few days later she comes back to the center to continue her vocational training."

The artist believes that after their studies, the students will soon integrate into community life, which is a happy thing.

Artist Hoai Thanh shared that every year when he visits home, he meets with fellow artists to organize a program to donate gifts and provide lunch for elderly people living alone and orphaned or disabled children.

This meaningful initiative has been widely supported by artists and singers in Ho Chi Minh City, including People's Artist Ngoc Giau.

"Last year, I organized many charity art activities, inviting poor students from Hy Vong Special Education School - Go Vap to watch art performances and have lunch with artists. In the shelters, the children lack art, so they need the care and help of society and artists to bring them joy to study enthusiastically and overcome their own misfortunes" - People's Artist Ngoc Giau said.

Through the spontaneous activities of artists this Christmas season, it is evident that the community awareness of artists has been significantly raised. People's Artist Ngoc Giau believes that it is time for artists to not only live for themselves but also to care for and share with those in difficult circumstances in society. This is a meaningful and valuable act by artists in the final days of the year.
